xx Banishment: Day 1

An eerie drone mobbed the quiet land with its mechanical hum that sounded muffled cannonade. In the middle of what seemed like endless wastes was a fast machine racing across the desert. The machine was a silvery black, speeding across the dry sand as a foggy blur. Most would only feel its presence for a short moment, anyone that did see it would have only been baffled by the black, foreign object.

After the hours it spend zooming across the baran land it stopped. Static humming rumbled in the pit of the ship. A strange door opened up. Three figures, two that were rather tall and the smaller third stood between them, appeared, silhouetted by a bright green light behind them. The two taller figures raised their long legs and placed their feet on the back of the smaller one and then pushed it out of the machine. The third figure fell in the sand face-first, and laid there motionless. The door slid closed and the machine roared before bouncing back into the air and zoomed into the sky.

The third figure coughed and heaved himself up from the ground with a painful groan. He began jumping, frantically waving his arms in the air, and screamed in the direction where the machine took off, "Wait, come back! Don't leave me here. It was an honest accident, anyone could have done it!"

The figure recieved no reply. He sighed and began walking with his unusally large head lowered low enough to have his chin almost touching the groove in the middle of his clavicles.

One of the most obvious features the figure had was his large head with his watery black eyes that were wrapped almost half-way around his skull. Another was his silver suit, it was fitted on him so snugly it looked like actual skin, that shimmered with an annoying brightness at every movement he made.

Not a single cloud in the sky could be found to block out the sun's blistering rays. After an half-hour the figure's gray skin was turning a dark purple color and showed obvious signs of burning painfuly.

Briefly the figure stopped, panting loudly, and the small slit which was his mouth opened and he said, "Can't a guy find any shade around here?" The figure looked around, his black eyes now had red veins over them, another sign of how badly the heat was affecting him. No signs of protection could be found.

"Of course," the figure sighed, "They had to put me in the middle of nowhere. The least they could had done was to drop me where those big rocks were." he said, remembering seeing some rather large hills on the way.

Frustraited, the figure kicked the dirt and contiued walking, now shielding his large eyes with his three-fingered hands, which were much smaller than his eyes so this act was pratically futile.

Suddenly the gray being felt a sharp jab in his foot and screamed. He grabbed his foot and saw needle-like torns jammed into his shoeless foot. Loudly he cursed in an unknown alien language. After pulling out the thorns, the figure saw the bizzar vine growing out from the shadows inside a hole. Smiling slyly, the figure grabbed the vine, trying to avoid the thorns, and tugged on it.

A large growl rumbled inside and then suddely a giant flowler popped up and its petals snapped at the little gray alien like teeth.

"AHHHHH!"

The alien fell over and scooted away from the carnivorous plant. "I HATE THIS PLANET!" he screamed loudly.

"I want to go home ..." the alien bunched his legs to his chest and began hugging his knees. "This planet is too dry, and filled with too many wackos."
